Your teen will be assigned a dedicated Blue Stars Certified mentor who will guide and motivate them to develop a unique art portfolio that will get them noticed by the best art schools in the country. Our Art Admissions service provides the structure, inspiration and guidance needed to help get your teen into a top art school.

Complete Guidance from the Beginning to the End of the Admissions Process: We know this process can feel overwhelming, and we are here to help. In fact, the process can be fun. We are with your teen each step of the way, keeping them organized and focused. Your teen will emerge from our program with a deeper understanding of who they are and how they would like to grow as an artist.
School Research and Selection: After we understand your teen’s abilities and goals, we mentor them through the process of selecting schools. This includes reports on school options and specific admissions data for each school.
Fine Art Portfolio: An art mentor will guide your teen in crafting a compelling fine art portfolio and submitting it to the art school
Comprehensive Artist Statement Coaching: Through brainstorming sessions and structured writing exercises, we will work with your teen to identify themes in their body of work, highlighting their voice and approach. This serves to deepen the presentation of your teen’s work and showcase their writing skills.
Art Portfolio Mentorship for High School Students
Blue Stars art mentoring for 9th to 11th graders goes well beyond the scope of beginning art classes, opening your teen’s perspective through education and critique. Art schools favor portfolios that display talent, technical skill, independent creative thought, and distinction in concept.
As a young artist applying to art school, it is imperative your teen be engaged in the art world through exhibitions, awards, and other art-related activities. Your teen will work closely with an assigned mentor to gain a higher understanding of art while developing and defining their artistic voice.
